Terms of service

Last updated November 4, 2026

These terms of service (“Terms”) are an agreement between YouZag, Inc. (“AltQ”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and the organization that uses AltQ (“Customer”, “you” or “your”). They cover the AltQ desktop app, the web app at my.altq.app, this website, and the services we provide with them (together, the “Service”).

You accept these Terms when you create an organization, start a trial, buy a subscription or use the Service. If you accept them on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you’re authorized to bind it, and “you” means that organization. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. Who may use AltQ

AltQ is a business tool. It is offered only to businesses and other organizations, and to people who use it on their behalf. It isn’t intended for personal, family or household use. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to accept these Terms.

2. Accounts and organizations

Signing in. People sign in with a one-time link sent to their email address or with their Google account. There are no AltQ passwords, so the security of an AltQ account depends on the security of that mailbox or Google account. Keep them secure, and tell us promptly at support@altq.app if you think someone has used an account without permission.

Organizations and roles. Your organization’s owners and admins decide who belongs to it, what role each person has (owner, admin, editor or staff), and who can use which catalogs. We may rely on instructions from your organization’s owners and admins. You’re responsible for everything people do in your organization and with its seats, and for making sure they follow these Terms.

Accurate information. Keep your organization’s name and contacts accurate, and keep at least one owner whose email address works.

3. Free trials

What’s included. Each new organization gets a free trial of 14 days. Each paid catalog in AltQ’s library also comes with its own free trial of 14 days. You don’t need to give a payment method to start a trial.

Limits. Each email address can start one organization trial, and each organization can try each catalog once. We may refuse, shorten or end a trial that we reasonably believe is being used to avoid paying, for example by creating new organizations or accounts to start new trials.

When a trial ends. When an organization’s trial ends without a subscription, desktop apps stop showing that organization’s catalogs at their next check-in. When a catalog’s trial ends, that catalog is removed from desktop apps the same way. Nothing in your organization is deleted at the end of a trial, and subscribing restores access.

Trial content. A catalog from AltQ’s library that you use during a trial may be used only to evaluate it, and only during the trial. Don’t keep, copy or use it after the trial unless you subscribe to it.

Trials are provided as they are, without any commitment of availability or support, and Sections 17 and 18 apply to them.

4. Subscriptions, seats and payment

Seats. A seat is one installation of the AltQ desktop app that is signed in to your organization. Signing in on several computers, or as several Windows users on one computer, uses several seats. People who use only the web app don’t use a seat. When all of your seats are in use, a new desktop sign-in is refused until a seat is freed or added. Your admins can sign out a computer at any time, and a computer that hasn’t checked in for 30 days is signed out automatically.

Fees. Subscriptions are priced per seat per year, as shown on our pricing page or at checkout when you subscribe. Paid catalogs from AltQ’s library are priced per seat per year and billed on the same subscription. Fees are charged in US dollars, annually and in advance.

Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews for another year at the end of each billing year, at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. We’ll email your organization’s billing contact a reminder before each annual renewal.

Changing seats. If you add seats during a billing year, we charge you right away for the remainder of that year, in proportion to the time left. If you remove seats, the lower number applies from your next renewal; we don’t refund or credit the time already paid for.

Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your chosen payment method for the fees you owe, including renewals and added seats, until you cancel. You’re responsible for keeping your payment details current.

Taxes. Fees don’t include taxes. You’re responsible for any sales, use, value-added or similar taxes on your purchases, except taxes on our income. Where we’re required to collect a tax, it’s shown at checkout and on your invoice.

Late payment. If a payment fails, Stripe retries it. Your access continues for a short grace period (3 days); after that, desktop apps stop showing your organization’s paid catalogs until the payment succeeds.

Price changes. We may change our prices. A change applies from your next renewal, and we’ll tell you at least 30 days before that renewal. It never changes the price of a year you’ve already paid for.

Questions about a charge. If you think we’ve charged you incorrectly, tell us within 60 days of the charge so we can look into it.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Account, then Manage billing, in the web app, or by emailing support@altq.app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing year: your organization keeps its access until then, and you won’t be charged again. Fees aren’t refundable except as our refund and cancellation policy describes, and that policy is part of these Terms.

6. Your content

What it is. “Customer Content” means the catalogs, items, folders, documents and other material that you and the people in your organization add to the Service.

It’s yours. As between you and us, you own your Customer Content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, transmit and display Customer Content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service for you, and as you instruct us. We don’t sell your Customer Content, and we don’t use it to train AI models.

Your responsibility. You’re responsible for your Customer Content: that it’s accurate and up to date (including part numbers, prices and the wording of replies), that you have the right to use it, and that using it with AltQ doesn’t break any law or anyone else’s rights.

Sensitive information. AltQ is designed for reference text, not for private records. Don’t put the following in catalogs: payment card or bank account numbers; Social Security, driver’s license or other government ID numbers; your customers’ nonpublic personal information as defined by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (such as credit applications or financing details); health information; or passwords and other credentials.

Export. Owners, admins and editors can export catalogs from the catalog editor at any time while they have access.

7. Checking what AltQ inserts

AltQ inserts the text from your catalogs into the program you’re using. Depending on the program, it may type the text, paste it, or only copy it, and it copies instead of typing whenever it can’t confirm where the text would go. You’re responsible for checking inserted text before you submit, save or send it, for example in a repair order, a quote or a message to a customer. We aren’t responsible for mistakes in Customer Content, or for the results of text inserted into other programs, including your dealer management system.

8. Catalogs from AltQ

AltQ may offer ready-made catalogs, templates and sample content (“AltQ Content”). While your organization has access to an item of AltQ Content, through a trial, a subscription or because it’s free, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your internal business. You may not sell, publish or redistribute AltQ Content outside your organization, or keep using it after your access ends. AltQ Content is provided for convenience: prices, part numbers and other details in it may change, so check them before you rely on them.

9. The desktop app

License. While you have a trial or subscription, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the AltQ desktop app on computers your organization controls, for your internal business, within your seats.

Updates. The desktop app can download and install updates after asking. We may require a minimum version: an older copy then stops syncing and asks to be updated.

Restrictions. You may not, and may not let anyone else: copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service; reverse engineer or decompile it, except where the law allows this despite this restriction; rent, resell or sublicense it; get around seat limits, trial limits or security features; or use the Service to build a competing product.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • break any law or regulation, including privacy, consumer protection and anti-spam laws that apply to your business;
  • store or share content that infringes someone else’s rights, or that is unlawful, deceptive, harassing or harmful;
  • send invitations or other messages to people who haven’t agreed to receive them;
  • upload malware, or interfere with or disrupt the Service or the networks it runs on;
  • try to access accounts, organizations or data that aren’t yours, or to probe, scan or load-test the Service, except for good-faith security research that follows our security guidelines.

11. Privacy and security

Privacy. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. When we process personal information that is part of your Customer Content or that belongs to the people in your organization, we do so on your behalf, as your service provider: we use it only to provide and support the Service and as you instruct, keep it confidential, and don’t sell or share it for advertising. If you need a data processing agreement, email us.

Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the Service and your data, as described on our security page. If we confirm a security incident that affects your organization’s data, we’ll notify your organization’s owners promptly.

Your part. Keep the computers and email accounts used with AltQ secure, remove people who leave your organization, and sign out computers that are lost or no longer used.

12. Confidentiality

Each party may receive non-public information from the other that is marked confidential or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential, including your Customer Content and the non-public parts of the Service. The receiving party will use it only for the purposes of these Terms, protect it with reasonable care, and not disclose it except to people who need it for those purposes and are bound to keep it confidential, or where the law requires (after giving notice where allowed). This doesn’t apply to information that is public, already known, independently developed, or lawfully received from someone else without a duty of confidence.

13. Feedback

If you send us suggestions or feedback about AltQ, we may use them without restriction or payment to you.

14. Other services

AltQ works with services run by others, such as Google sign-in and Stripe. Your use of them is governed by their own terms, and we aren’t responsible for them. AltQ also inserts text into programs made by others, and we aren’t responsible for how those programs behave.

15. Availability, support and changes

We work to keep AltQ available and reliable, but we don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The desktop app keeps working with catalogs it already downloaded for up to 7 days without a connection. We provide support by email at support@altq.app.

We improve AltQ over time and may add, change or remove features. If a change materially reduces the core features of a paid subscription during its current billing year, you may cancel within 30 days of the change, and we’ll refund the unused part of that year.

16. Suspension and termination

By you. You may stop using the Service at any time and cancel as described in Section 5.

Suspension. We may suspend access, for all or part of your organization, if a payment is overdue beyond the grace period, if we reasonably believe there’s a security risk to the Service or to others, if you materially break Section 9 or 10, or if the law requires it. We’ll tell you when it’s practical to do so, and we’ll restore access once the reason is resolved.

Termination. Either party may end these Terms if the other materially breaks them and doesn’t fix the breach within 30 days of written notice. We may also end a free trial or a free plan at any time with notice. If we end a paid subscription for a reason other than your breach, we’ll refund the unused part of your current billing year.

What happens after. When a trial or subscription ends, desktop apps stop showing your organization’s catalogs and remove their downloaded copies at their next check-in. We keep your organization’s content after a trial or subscription ends so that you can come back, until you delete it or we give you at least 30 days’ notice that we’ll delete it. Deleted content can remain in our backups for up to 14 weeks before it’s gone for good. Sections 6, 8, 12, 13 and 16 through 21 continue to apply after these Terms end.

17. Warranties and disclaimers

Each party confirms that it has the authority to enter into these Terms. We will provide the Service with reasonable skill and care, substantially as described in our documentation.

EXCEPT AS STATED IN THIS SECTION, THE SERVICE AND AltQ CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON’T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT IT WILL WORK WITH EVERY PROGRAM, INCLUDING ANY PARTICULAR DEALER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, OR THAT AltQ CONTENT IS ACCURATE OR CURRENT.

18. Limitation of liability

TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE TO THE OTHER FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS, EVEN IF IT WAS ADVISED THAT THEY WERE POSSIBLE.

TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, EACH PARTY’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT THAT GAVE RISE TO THE LIABILITY, AND (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).

These limits don’t apply to your obligation to pay fees, to your obligations under Section 19, or to liability for a party’s fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct.

19. Indemnification

You will defend us and our officers, employees and agents against any third-party claim arising from your Customer Content, or from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or the law, and pay any damages, costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees finally awarded or agreed in settlement. We’ll tell you promptly about the claim, let you control its defense and settlement (you may not settle in a way that admits fault on our behalf without our consent), and cooperate reasonably at your expense.

20. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting a legal proceeding, a party will first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other and allowing 30 days to resolve it. The state and federal courts located in Orange County, Florida, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, and each party consents to them. Either party may seek an injunction in any competent court to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.

21. General

Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. We’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top. For material changes, we’ll also email your organization’s owners at least 30 days before they take effect, unless a change is required sooner by law or to address a security risk. If you don’t agree to a material change, you may cancel before it takes effect, and we’ll refund the unused part of your current billing year. By continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect, you accept it.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the policies they refer to and any order you place with us, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. They replace any earlier agreements or terms about it. Terms in your purchase orders or other documents don’t apply.

Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms without our written consent, except to a successor that acquires all or substantially all of your business. We may transfer them to an affiliate or to a successor of our business.

Force majeure. Neither party is liable for a delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, outages of internet or cloud providers, labor disputes or government action. This doesn’t excuse payment obligations.

Notices. We’ll send notices to the email address of your organization’s owners or billing contact. Send notices to us at support@altq.app and by mail to YouZag, Inc., 1127 Lake Legro Ct, Orlando, FL 32835, United States.

Export and sanctions. You may not use or export the Service in violation of United States export laws or sanctions, or let anyone on a United States government list of restricted parties use it.

Other terms. If a provision of these Terms can’t be enforced, the rest remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision isn’t a waiver. The parties are independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms creates rights for anyone else. Headings are for convenience only, and “including” means “including without limitation”.
