Something isn’t working

In AltQ, open Settings, then About, and choose Copy support details. Paste them into your email: they tell us your version, Windows version and recent activity, and never contain the text you inserted.

Billing

Invoices, receipts and your payment method are under Account, then Manage billing, in the web app. For anything else about a charge, email us.

Security and privacy

Vendor questionnaires, data requests and security reports go to the same address. Start with the security overview and the privacy policy.

Common questions

Pressing Alt+Q does nothing.

Another program may already use Alt+Q. Choose a different shortcut in AltQ’s settings. In a full-screen Remote Desktop or Citrix session, the remote computer receives the keys, so AltQ needs to be installed there.

AltQ copied the text instead of typing it.

That’s deliberate, and AltQ says so when it happens. Windows doesn’t let a normal program type into one running as administrator, and in terminal screens AltQ copies text with line breaks so a line break can’t submit the screen. Paste it with Ctrl+V.

It says all of our seats are in use.

An admin can sign out a computer that’s no longer used on the Organization page, or add seats. Computers that haven’t checked in for 30 days are signed out automatically.

How do we remove someone’s access?

Remove them from your organization, or sign out their computer, on the Organization page. It takes effect the next time their AltQ checks in, at most 15 minutes later when it’s online.

How do I download or delete my data?

In the web app, open Account. Under Your data you can download everything AltQ stores about you, or delete your account.
